The Walkerburn Community led plan published

The community plan document has now been published and delivered to every household in the village along with the July edition of Burning Issues

The plan is the culmination of a process begun  in February with the completion of a questionnaire by householders and the gathering of views at a number pf public meetings.

The issues which emerged from these events were then discussed in May and prioritised before the plan was put together.

The plan will also be circulated to elected local representatives in both parliaments and the Scottish Borders Council, as well as those involved in community planning at SBC and other agencies.

The plan will be useful in supporting future work on village development in providing evidence of the community's wishes.  Any future work will continue to have the support of The Bridge which funded the work for this report.
