Basic Horticulture Training
We are currently recruiting to offer
places for basic horticulture training. This
is open to all in the community, with or
without an allotment.
The training will provide basic skills to
support you to grow your own produce.
We are also looking at providing training
on the strimmer mower, brushcutter, pruner,
sawchain and hedge trimmer (including the
National Proficiency Training Certificate (NPTC)
Assessment). Dates and times are to be
confirmed.
Anyone interested in either of these
training opportunities should contact
Nichola Sewell on 07748 320108.
Jubilee Park news
The Development Trust has applied for
planning permission to upgrade the paths on the site and
to install a new and less steep path around the site.
A decision is expected around the end of the month.
Once permission has been granted, an application for
funding for the paths will be submitted to Awards for
All, and then hopefully work can commence on the
paths in the New Year (weather permitting!)
The Trust is also working on a
submission for the rest of the development of the site
including the play area, garden, wildflower area and
bike skills run. The fund will not give money
until 2014, so there is still plenty of time for people
to get involved in the plans for the development and
introduce new ideas and offer help. Contact any of
the Directors of the
trust if you are interested in helping with this
important improvement in the facilities available to all
the residents of the villa
